In many ways the record that launched Patchworks as the collaborative label we are today. Metronomic Underground began as a way to use up a box of spare blank tapes we had lying around, then somehow grew into a themed compilation, a zine, and a live night that featured all the acts on the album.
Metronomic Underground Vol 2 – The Missing
Taking a darker, folk horror turn, our second compilation built on the idea of a collaborative record with a common theme rather than a stock label compilation. Featuring a diverse range of artists, from the experimental folk of R. Dyer, to the the stacatto hardware jams of Lekemo and EM-, the album explored themes of youthful alienation and generational divide.
